LUGADENT – anti-parodont toothpaste with 20% salty lake concentrate from Black Sea

LUGADENT toothpastes contain medical lye from the Black Sea extracted from the Atanasov salt lake near Bourgas.
For sea lye it is well known and scientifically proven that it has unique healing and prophylactic properties of the teeth and oral cavity. Traditionally, several types and brands of Black Sea lye paste are produced in Bulgaria.
The scientific achievements of Bulgarian scientists in the far 1955 inspired us to rediscover the strength of the Black Sea lye, creating the LUGADENT toothpaste. The pastes are produced with 10% and 20% content of sea lye, extracted from the salt-mines at the Atanasovski Salt Lake near Burgas.

LUGADENT toothpaste is a prophylactic toothpaste intended for daily hygiene and caries prevention. It has a moderately abrasive cleaning effect and foam-forming ability and is therefore of universal application.
It is a carbonate, salt toothpaste, white in colour, flavoured with fresh peppermint flavour.

In the toothpaste is used Black Sea medical lye. It is highly mineralised (up to 440 g/l salt), a physiologically important solution of stabilised Black Sea lye containing marine minerals and microalgae. The lye contains magnesium salts up to 320 g/l and sodium chloride up to 120 g/l, microelements, microalgae, microfauna – biologically active substances characteristic of the Pomorie and Bourgas salt lakes. The content of the biogenic element of magnesium is dominant. The ratio of magnesium salts to sodium salts is not less than 2.5:1.

Black Sea medical lye acts biostimulating as it enhances natural skin and mucous defenses. It stimulates defense reactions and regenerative tissue processes. Microelements penetrate the mucous membrane, reinforce the walls of the blood vessels, strengthen cell membranes by raising the osmotic pressure in them and stop the bleeding of the gums. The lye has a wide antimicrobial spectrum with a definite anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect.

LUGADENT toothpaste is recommended for daily use in cases of inflammatory processes in the oral cavity, bleeding gums, increased sensitivity of teeth, unpleasant breath, for the prevention of caries and periodontosis and for improving the condition of the inflamed gums.

Opinion of the specialists: Kirchev P., Chimitliiska Hr, Prof. Stranski D., who carried out a biochemical study of Pomorie Lake lye more than 60 years ago:

“Pharmacological studies of medical lye show that it has good biological tolerance, stimulating action on saliva’s enzymatic activity and protecting the oral surface of the oral cavity, i. E. activates natural immune defense mechanisms in the oral cavity”.

Toothpastes with Black Sea lye have been proven over the years and continue to be produced, used and sought by consumers to this day. Their demand continues to develop and build on them. Of particular interest is Russia and the former Soviet republics.
